Optimum Patient Care Research Database

We Contribute to the Optimum Patient Care Research Database - OPCRD

Patient health records are important for research to understand diseases and for better treatments. This GP Practice supports medical research by contributing patient data to Optimum Patient Care Research Database. OPCRD provides anonymised data for research to improve patient care, public health and science.

You cannot be identified from anonymised data or patient data we send to OPCRD. Data from OPCRD is also linked with hospital data and other health data.

For data linkage, we send your NHS number, gender and date of birth to NHS England. Use of identifiers without consent has been approved by the Confidentiality Advisory Group. If you do not want your data to be used for OPCRD research, you can opt out by contacting the Practice.
