By far the easiest way for you to request repeat medication is online

Ordering online will help you as it shows you the right name strength and dosage to order and when it is next available. We request that patients who are able to do so request their repeat medication online.

Use the NHS App

The simplest and quickest way to order your repeat medication is by using the NHS App which links directly to your Prescription record at the Practice.

You can order your repeat prescription online using SystmOnline

Its also quick and easy to order your repeat prescription online using SystmOnline which links directly to your Prescription record at the Practice.

Pharmacy Ordering / Collection Service

Your pharmacy can also order your medication on your behalf. This saves you time and unnecessary visits to the Practice. Please contact the Pharmacy of your choice for more information if you wish to use this service.

In Person

You can order in person by returning the right-hand half of a previous prescription for the required medications

Alternatively,  you can submit a handwritten request. You may also write out an order for someone else, providing you include the patient’s name and date of birth and requested medication.

By Post

You can post your prescription slip or written request to us at the Practice

You must include a stamped addressed envelope for return by post if you will not be able to pick up your prescription from the Surgery. Please allow at least seven days if requesting your medication by post.

Please give at least 48 hours notice for a prescription, if ordering from the surgery.

Collecting Your Prescription

  • Your prescription will be ready to collect at any time after 4.30pm two full working days following your request. If you come before this time, it may not be ready.
  • Please try to order all your repeat medication at one time, even if you have a few tablets or capsules of some drugs in hand.

If you need to make any special arrangements please ask a member of staff to help you.

Reviewing Your Drugs

From time to time, we will ask you to make an appointment to review your prescription. This is to ensure that the medication you have been prescribed are still appropriate for you and to ensure that any tests you need are carried out such as blood pressure and blood tests. It is important that you attend these reviews otherwise we may not be able to continue to prescribe your medication.

Repeat Dispensing

If you, or someone you care for, use the same medicines regularly, you may be able to benefit from repeat dispensing from your pharmacist. This means you won't have to visit the surgery every time you need more medicines. The service is also referred to as the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
